Our story
From pole to pole, and home again.
Husband and wife team, James and Hannah Godfrey, have brought SubtlePunch to the North Atlantic.
Created over a decade ago, SubtlePunch was originally founded by James Godfrey in Wellington, New Zealand.
In the following years, James travelled the world from the Antarctic to the Arctic in collaboration with an international client. He captured the stunning landscapes, cultures and wildlife that we share our home with, creating twenty six expedition films and publishing thousands of images.
After meeting himself a Newfoundlander, James and Hannah married in Newfoundland in 2023. Now they've returned to Hannah's hometown of St. John's to re-establish SubtlePunch right here on the shores of Newfoundland.
Our mission is to bring your vision to life, to deliver a subtle punch and create content with impact.
